ORDER OF THE RESPLENDENT BANNER
2nd Class Set, with 2 Stars on Top, instituted in 1935.Sash Badge, multiparts construction,
silver gilt with diamond cut rays, 71 mm, superimposed parts silver gilt, enameled,
with star suspension device and original sash. Breast Star, multiparts construction,
silver gilt with diamond cut rays, 82 mm, superimposed part silver gilt, enameled,
with vertical tapered pin, numbered “595” and Chinese inscriptions on reverse. In case of
issue with emblem of the Chinese Republic on the lid (part of the fitting is incomplete).
Minimal hairlines to the white enamel on point of the star but nevertheless a rare and
very attractive set. Comes with diploma given in 1980 to the Austrian General in
charge of the war academy plus a presentation plate from the Chinese General President
of the military university and war academy to his Austrian counterpart.
